Highland Elementary - School Counseling

Mr. Antojuan Owens was born and raised in Saint Louis, MO. Mr. Owens is a graduate of Hazelwood East High School. Mr. Owens attended Langston University where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. Mr. Owens always had a passion for working with children, which led him to pursue his M.A. in Professional and School Counseling at Lindenwood University. Mr. Owens has been in education for 13 years, entering the education field working for Special School District as an ABA paraprofessional.

Mr. Owens has been with the Riverview Garden family for 6 years. Mr. Owens received the honor of District and Building Teacher of the Year for the 2016-2017 school year. Mr. Owens is certified as a school psychological examiner. Mr. Owens leads the Student Council program, Boys of Honor & Prestige Mentoring Group, the PBIS committee and holds many other responsibilities as school counselor. In his spare time, Mr. Owens enjoys comedy shows, concerts, live bands, watching and coaching football and writing. Mr. Owens is a true WWE wrestling fan, BUT what he enjoys most is spending time with his nieces and nephews
